A month or more, gone in a flash. No fantastic escape, not even a few words.
Never fear! There will be celebrations to come!
In the meantime…
I HAVE FINALLY finished the prizes from the tea party and will send them off in the mail tomorrow!
Dearest recipients, please remember, I am a novice seamstress. If the purses do not please the adult palate at least they ought charm a young one.
But the fabric is gorgeous no?

Thank you and welcome, mad partiers. we have had such daft and excellent time.
We are so glad you came to join our imprudence !
We walked into a child’s world …

a place of light and play and the play of light...
to find it had been transformed by madness into something more whimsical ( and refreshing) than it had ever been before!

tinged fair(l)y green...
There were old books…

of most ancient pedigree..
jewels…

a magical device..most certainly
lovely unflorals…

thank you lady unflorist...
new cloth…(how INTERESTING…discover more below….)

what could be made of such loveliness!?!
a hat to wear…

such a mad, mad hat
and of course delicious yummies…

such a trifle!

tea leaves, leaves for tea...
So we set to work, taking our turns at madness and delight…

a lady...

a wee imp...

and a gentleman make three...
There was even evidence of a cherry thief!

picked clean!

caught in the act...
The hat was shown a most excellent time and the party-goers too….

rumpled...a sign of a most excellent party...
But it is not over! Not by alot! There is still a goody to be got!
Answer this question for a party of three for chance to win one of these, handmade by me!
———What fiction is your favorite escape? The winning choice (a novel, a painting perhaps?) will set be our next scene!——-
(the magicis gone, the party at an end, be sure to leave email or blog link so we can find you, new friend!)
Happiest of all tea parties. Thank you Mme. VV for a most maddening time!

We will post our marvelous fanciness when the party is through! Thank you for visiting!
Love!
Oh we can hardly wait until you can join our tea party…if you need some party prep, here are some ideas to keep you busy!
Flower Press for your unflorals!
Limoncello for adult tea partiers
The word we are looking for is leafy…for your table
For a crackin’ good time
To go with your fancy skirt (come back for the official tea party post and you could win one! Madness!)
If you need a fancy place to have tea
To preserve your face on such a hot hot day
So much better than pins and preservatives
To give to fancy ladies
We have been feeling vaguely vegan lately…are any of you lovelies? How is it going? Is the transition tough?

And then, she found herself at last in the beautiful garden, among the bright flower beds and cool fountains….
Land is special. There is great emphasis on the form and substance of housing, especially in suburbia, but the true worth of such investment is the land. After all, it is the land that will remain even after all siding, interior decor, automatic garage doors, and mailboxes have gone the way of the Dodo.

"In that case," said the Dodo solemnly, rising to its feet, "I move that the meeting adjourn, for the immediate adoption of more energetic remedies

The Unflorist’s Shop. (You may wish to tilt your head to the left.)

City statues require that our lawns be a certain height and shaved at regular intervals. But at the edge of our domain, away from regulatory eyes, there is a patch of lawn that we have left to nature. Seeing what is rarely allowed on suburban lands, we wonder why we have never let the horticulturalist-of-all design our gardens before…

Isn’t she doing a lovely job? We may have to enlist her talents to designUnfloral arrangments for our Tea Party.
We are every so hopeful that these will bloom in time.
The long grass rustled at her feet as the white rabbit hurried by… she could hear the rattle of the teacups…

A hatter-made (show the tailor to the door!) dessert for a tea party and a superlative gift for a lover of cherries.
A Cherry Extravaganza Trifle

Usher ceremoniously into one place:
With this marvelous assemblage of ingredients at hand you may now proceed to Trifle Creation…
In this creative moment let the fates guide you and the muses reign your hand, so that, in the order dictated by inspiration, your ingredients find stratification in a glass container. Far be it from us to interfere in your moment of parto artistico, but I often begin with a foundational cake layer, spatula on some curd, billow a mass of cream atop that and then sprinkle with fresh and maraschino cherries.
Repeat the piling until such time as you have exhausted either your energies, your ingredients, or space in your serveware.
BRILLIANT

It had, in fact, a sort of mixed flavour of cherry tart, custard, pineapple, roast turkey, toffee, and hot buttered toast...
